Established 1983
A family-run electrical business you can rely on
PJ Electrics has been serving homes, schools and businesses across South London and Surrey since 1983.
Founded by Patrick Allen and Colin Davis, the business was built on straightforward advice, reliable service and doing the job properly.
Today, PJ Electrics is run by the next generation, with Sean Allen and the team providing electrical installation, testing, maintenance and repairs for homeowners, landlords, schools and commercial clients.
We are proud that much of our work comes from repeat customers and recommendations — something we have earned by being dependable, honest and easy to deal with.

Four Decades in the Making
- 1983
The Beginning
Patrick Allen and Colin Davis started PJ Electrics, laying the foundations for a trusted local electrical business.
- The 1980s
Building Local Trust
Throughout the 80s, PJ Electrics worked closely with local councils, communities and businesses, becoming known for reliable, high-quality electrical work.
- 1995
A Growing Brixton Team
By the mid-90s, the team had grown to 10 people, operating from a Brixton base and working on local town halls, community spaces and commercial buildings.
- 2002
Major Growth
By the early 2000s, PJ Electrics had grown to over 20 staff, including electricians and ground workers, delivering projects across parks, public buildings, town halls and large commercial sites.
- 2020
A Changing Landscape
The business landscape changed significantly, and PJ Electrics continued with a smaller core team, maintaining long-standing clients and keeping the company moving forward.
- 2021
A New Chapter
Sean Allen joined the company and, alongside Kevin Ward, helped rebrand PJ Electrics and transition the business into a limited company.
- 2026
PJ Electrics Today
Today, PJ Electrics has a team of 9+ permanent employees, an office back in London and a trusted network of contractors. We maintain contracts with over 30 schools across London, support key clients in the property and maintenance sectors, and continue to grow as a NICEIC-certified electrical contractor with a fully qualified team.

Every member of our team holds a current DBS enhanced check, making us safe to work in schools and sensitive environments.

We carry out all testing and inspection in full compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
