Sockets
Sockets - you can never have too many of them. Look at any newly-built home these days and it's probably got a double socket in each corner of each room and a mass of them in the kitchen.
Look in any older property and you could find as little as one socket in each room, each with a trailing lead of plug-in extra sockets to cope with the modern demand for electrical appliances and battery chargers.
Have you noticed how many portable electrically-powered things we have these days? But just because they're portable doesn't mean you've escaped the mains plug, because they all need charging.
And so many extra electrical items. Once upon a time a television was a one-socket item. Now it's hooked up to a satellite receiver, a video, a DVD player and a surround-sound system - sometimes even more - and we're looking at a five-socket set-up in the same corner of the room.
Trailing leads and multi-plug adaptors abound, but they're not as safe as proper, installed sockets. As long as the sockets are installed properly.

Oh, just one thing to bear in mind - call us in BEFORE you redecorate the room, not afterwards. Adding new sockets can really mess up that new paintwork ...
